Child Custody
questions & answers
Question: I am 21 years old and was wondering if I can have custody of my little brother (his 13 years old). Both, my mom and his ex are not good for him. His dad always talks negative stuff about my mom and my mom is afraid that she would loose custody of him. I have a good job, my mom lives with me, I'm married, what are my rights?
Answer: You may qualify to serve as guardian for your brother. You can find more information about guardianship and filing papers at www.azcourts.gov/selfservicecenter. Information on the Arizona Revised Statutes pertaining to guardianship are on the website as well. You may also want to consult with an attorney for information and advice.
