Birth Certificate
questions & answers
Question: i reside in las vegas nevada and my ex girlfriend went and had my son without telling me where she was and i never got to sign the birth certificate or anything! how do i go about getting rights to my son?
Answer: If your girlfriend resides in Arizona and had the baby in Arizona, you may want to go to the Superior Court in the county which she lives and file papers for paternity as well as child support and child custody. If she is outside Maricopa or Pima counties, they will accept the Maricopa County Superior Court forms. You may also want to consult with an attorney on how best to proceed with your rights to your son.
