Child Custody
questions & answers
Question: My grandson cannot afford an attorney. Is there a way he can file for custody of his son free of charge?
Answer:
It is important to understand that there are in fact filing fees even without an attorney but an individual can file a fee deferral form in order to waive the filing fees, if of course, the individual is applicable. If in Maricopa County, the Superior court contact information is Central Court Building (CCB) 201 W. Jefferson Phoenix, AZ. 85003-2243 Court Administration: (602) 506-3204 Civil Court Administration: (602) 506-1497 Family Court Administration: (602) 506-1561 If someone does not reside in Maricopa, see the link below and contact the appropriate court for more details and their version of the deferral form and or filing fees.
