Child Custody
questions & answers
Question: i gave temporary coustody to my mom voluntary how can i get them back now?
Answer:
It seems that you’re asking about a temporary guardianship. You’ll need to ask the superior court in the county that you’re in to end the guardianship. The superior court may have forms available to do so. For example, if you live in Maricopa county, and custody was given to the children’s grandmother at the juvenile court, you can use these instructions and forms to request a hearing.
Pima County also has forms available on their self-service website here that you may find helpful. If you’re in another county, use the Arizona Court Locator to find the superior court in your county. The law library at the court may be able to help. If you still need more help, see this page on our website to find legal aid in your area.
