Child Custody
questions & answers
Question: I have a question I need help with? If I was to go and get my kids but the mother and I have no custody agreement or order in place can I get in trouble. I feel as if my kids are being neglected and while they are going to my mother's house over the weekend I want to get them but I don't know if I can get into any trouble with the police being that there is no custody agreement.
Answer: For specific legal advice in your situation please consult a lawyer. Generally, unless there is an order of protection that prevents a parent from having time with their child, or a legal reason such as a person having been convicted of a crime that does not allow them to be in the prescience of children it may be allowed. Please read the following link to familiarize yourself with the law on visitation for parents. http://www.azlawhelp.org/articles_info.cfm?sc=11&mc=1&articleid=68
