Child Custody
questions & answers
Question: My child now lives with me she doesn't want to live with her mother anymore. Can I drop the child support I've been paying also should I go to court for custody?
Answer: You may wish to contact the court in the county you live to find out what needs to be done regarding the child support. Also, the courts have papers that may need filing for custody and other information. you can go to http://www.superiorcourt.maricopa.gov/SuperiorCourt/Self-ServiceCenter/Forms/FamilyCourt/index.asp for more information on legal decision making of the parent (custody). You may want to speak with an attorney to see what your rights are and answer your specific question regarding child support.
