Question: I was granted full legal and physical custody of my two children. Their mother is allowed visits that I have increased to full weekend overnights, but now she is threatening legal action because I wont give her anything she wants. I have suspended visits because she has a delicate mental state and I dont want her rage towards me to hurt the children. She has a history of suicide attempts, bi-polar disorder, and neglect both of herself and the kids. She says it is against the law to deny her wishes and me having custody means nothing but a placeholder until she "takes them back". Am I wrong?

Answer: If your court orders have given you sole legal decision making and parenting time than you would be correct. If the mother does not like the current orders she would need to seek a modification for the current orders from the court. The court would then decide whether or not she should have increased parenting time rights and or legal decision making authority.
