Question: i have a 15yr old daughter,whos father has avoided takin a dna test,and has never paid support.i could never get an order for support because we could never track him down.but recently we found him and had a dna done.am i entitled to collect back support for the 15yrs he hadnt paid a dime

Answer: ARS 25-501(A) states that, “Every person has the duty to provide all reasonable support for that person's natural and adopted minor, unemancipated children, regardless of the presence or residence of the child in this state.”  ARS 25-511 states that, “any parent of a minor child who knowingly fails to furnish reasonable support for the parent's child is guilty of a class 6 felony.”
