Question: WHAT DOES AN ORAL ARGUMENT/MOTION FOR RELEASE MEAN?
Answer: It means that a hearing has been scheduled to hear from the parties (prosecutor and defense attorney) to determine if a defendant's release is going to be modified. Modification can include release on one's own recognizance, by way of bond, or release with supervision. The judge will hear oral argument from the parties and make a decision based upon the information presented.
