Landlord and Tenant - Mobile Home Parks
questions & answers
Question: My grandparents live in a 55+ senior living community that adamantly refuses to allow even quiet, inside pets. My grandparents own their trailer. Do they, being the owners of their home, have the right to a quiet pet that lives exclusively indoors? If not, why?
Answer: A.R.S Title 33, Chapter 11 “Mobile Home Parks Residential Landlord and Tenant Act” gives the Landlord (Park Owner/Operator) the right to establish rules for Tenants (Mobile Home Owners). Rules prohibiting pets within a Mobile Home Park, usually spelled out in lease agreements, do not violate these or any other pertinent statutes and therefore are within such Landlord rights.
