Question: Can your landlord give you 30 days to move for no reason
Answer: Under the Arizona Residential Landlord and Tenant Act (A.R.S. Title 33 Chapter 10), if you are a residential tenant on a month-to-month rental agreement (which has no specific end date), then your landlord may give you 30 days written notice at any time of the landlord’s intention to terminate your tenancy at the end of the following month without explanation (A.R.S. 33-1375). If you are a residential tenant on a fixed-term rental agreement (which has a specific end date), then your landlord may give you 30 days written notice one month before that agreement is set to expire.
