Landlord and Tenant Rights and Responsibilities
questions & answers
Question: I have been renting a house for the past 4 months and last night the landlord showed up and starting moving her stuff in , can she do that? How do I stop it? I called the police and they said I couldn't do anything about it.
Answer: As a general rule, when a tenant has a month-to-month rental agreement, the landlord must provide that tenant with at least 30 days’ written notice of the landlord’s intention to terminate the agreement (A.R.S. 33-1375(A)). If you believe that your landlord has acted unlawfully, you should speak an attorney.
