Question: There are 4 households renting on one property. Can landlord evict 1 household and not the othets for no reason?

Answer: A landlord may not evict anyone for “no reason.” Before a landlord may ask a court of law to evict a tenant from a rented dwelling, the landlord must give the tenant written notice and an opportunity to cure the alleged breach of the rental agreement (if that is possible) then file an eviction complaint with the court containing specific allegations describing how the tenant breached the rental agreement. If only one tenant (or group of tenants) in a rented dwelling breached the rental agreement, then the landlord may only seek to have that particular tenant (or group of tenants) evicted.
