Question: I've been at this apartment for two years my lease is up on the 28th of February I never been late on a payment anyting and now the apartment complex wants me to move out don't want to renew my lease do I have a case
Answer: The Arizona Residential Landlord and Tenant Act – which applies to rental agreements for apartments, houses, townhouses, condos, and mobile homes where both the mobile home and the lot space are owned by the same landlord – gives both the landlord and the tenant the right to terminate a rental agreement when the agreement expires without providing any reason or explanation. A landlord who does not want to renew a rental agreement for an apartment does not have to.
