Question: Is it legal to move back in after your boyfriend drives restraining order
Answer: When one person (the plaintiff) obtains an order of protection against another person (the defendant), the order will prohibit the defendant from entering or coming near specific locations, such as the plaintiff’s home, workplace, and/or school. If the defendant were to violate the order while it remains in effect, that would be a criminal act, and the defendant could be arrested. If the plaintiff wants to have the order removed, the plaintiff must go to court to ask that it be removed.
