Question: I am a convicted drug felon and am not eligible to receive food stamps. I have a child is she eligible. And if so how much its she eligible for. I am not currently employed.

Answer: Legally, only children 22 and older can claim a separate household for food stamps. However, as of now, most states, including Arizona, have dropped the 1996 Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act in lieu of a more "reasonable" act. In Arizona, the food stamp ban does not apply to "individuals who have completed their sentence or are complying with the terms of their judgment, parole, or probation." http://www.lac.org/toolkits/TANF/TANF.htm
