Where to Find an Attorney for Specific Legal Advice

Arizona has three legal aid organizations which cover different regions of the state.

  1. Community Legal Services (800) 852-9075 covers Maricopa, Mohave, Yavapai, Yuma and LaPaz Counties.
  2. Southern Arizona Legal Aid (800) 640-9465 covers southern Arizona.
  3. DNA People’s Legal Services (800) 789-7287 covers northern Arizona.

All legal service programs in Arizona differ, and their criteria for accepting cases vary. The legal aid organizations above all have the same criteria of income restrictions and legal status requirements, but do have varying priorities.

To find out about more Arizona resources that may be able to assist you, you can contact LegalLEARN, Legal Information & Resources at (866) 637-5341.

Individuals may apply for free and reduced fee legal services by using the "Access To Justice Online Intake System" through AZLawHelp.

If the legal services program in your area cannot assist you, you may be able to find a lawyer through lawyer referral services in Maricopa County (602) 257-4434 or Pima County (520) 623-4625.

The State Bar also maintains a listing of all Arizona attorneys on their website, and certifies “specialists” in eight legal areas. (Not all attorneys seek such certification, however.) Lists of specialists can also be found at the State Bar of Arizona’s website.

QUESTIONS

  • I originally moved my M.H. on the space it sits on 19 yrs. ago under a verbal agreement with previous owner. For many years since, I've asked to be entered into a lease with the new owners but wasn't given one until 2 weeks ago. This lease does not fall under the M.H.P, L.lord tenant act nor was it signed in front & with knowledge. What are my rights to a possible eviction now?
  • I have been trying to sell home for 2 years, today received a firm offer which management refused as tenant only 50 years not 55. Have been told a percentage in 55+parks can purchase. Would you please confirm or deny this. thank you.
  • 2nd shed was Grandfathered. Mobile is for sale so they say one shed must be removed. Can they change their mind because of sale?
  • I own a mobile home in a park does the landlord have the right to tell me that I can't live in my Mobile on their lot in the park
  • I own my trailer but rent the space. The owner of the park passed away and we were left alone for a few months. Rent checks were returned and it was chaos. I received a certified letter saying I have not paid rent for 4 months, when I know I have. I have proof for 1 of those months, but cannot find the others. The office is open for 3 hours a day while I'm at work, so I stick it in the outside mailbox that is locked. Other tenants have received the same notice and said they also paid. Some tenants are also suing the park for abandonment. What can I do to prevent paying rent twice? Thank you
  • how much can a landlord charge you for later fees per month?
  • Is it a requirement of the trailer park owner to provide a dumpster for tenants in the park
  • I moved in my boyfriend mobile home park home which he owns but pays rent for the lot, new owners are asking me for an application fee because the old managers didnt add me to the lease over a yr ago can they make me move by denying my application even when i been living here for 2 yrs
  • i own my mobile home rent the space my home was vandalized does the park owner carry any responsibility
  • We own a mobile home in a park. We have a lady that wants to buy our mobile. She paid a fee to start the application process to be approved for lease in the park. She passed the criminal/credit portion but they needed a note from her doctor regarding a waiver for her service dogs being over 25 lbs. Her doctor signed the form and she took it into the office. Then they told her they were wrong and it had to be mailed to the doctor's office by the park. We are over two weeks waiting on an approval and they told us they don't know when they will have an answer. Is there a time limit on approval.
