  • My 17 year old son has received a subpeona to testify as a witness against his friend charged with aggravated assault. My son does not wish to testify. What are his rights and what are the possible consequences if he chooses not to testify? We plan to show up in court but he plans to refuse to answer any questions.

  • My mother recently passed away and her will states that everything is to be divided among my 2 sisters and I. She has a house with a loan on it, a vehicle that is paid for(that my oldest sister now has), property that my other sister and her husband say is now theirs and I have only small things. The house is to go to the three of us but I can't get any info from my older sisters about it. And now my nephew and his girlfriend and son are living in the house and paying my older sister. What can I do ??
  • Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I have 2 siblings and a step sibling who are sole beneficiaries of a trust. My step dad passed almost a year ago. We have heard nothing about the status of the trust. All of his personal property has been sold and presumably those funds have been added to the trust. None of us are contesting the distribution of funds. How long should it generally take for us to hear when we may receive our inheritance and how can I follow up on the courts progress?   • I made a personal loan of 20k to a friend that was due October 30, 2012. It is in writing. He lives in Flagstaff,AZ, and I live in Hawthorne, CA. He says he wants to pay me back, but cant afford it. I want my money. He may have filed bankruptcy in Flagstaff and that is what I am trying to find out. I as a creditor was never notified if he did. Can I for free find out if he filed sometime from 2008-present??? I want to recover my money, and hoping bankruptcy law will not get in the way. Thanks!
  • We have been evicted, the constable showed up yesterday at 9am with a locksmith to change locks, I thought we were given 24 hours to remove our belongings before they changed the locks. They left my dogs in the backyard and I was not even home. I went back to check on dogs, and constable was hiding with a tape recorder telling me I can't be there. Even to check on my dogs they left in the backyard?

I am listed on our home’s Deed of Trust/Title with his name as joint with right of survivorship. Can unsecured credit card debt end up as liens filed against the title?
