should the state appoint me a public defender in my case? i was in a car accident in my own front yard and was arrested 2 days later. the judge released me on no probable cause and was dropped the next day. a month later the municipal court sent a letter saying i have all these charges. plead not guilty and to trial. the judge then told me i had to repersent myself and i wasnt getting a public defender. my charges are aggravated assualt w/deadly weapon(2), reckless driving, disorderly conduct, and domestic violence what should i do

I have several questions that need an answer as soon as possible. I am trying to go back home to New Mexico, my homestate, but under custody issues I can not leave the state with my son. If I leave the state I am considered "kidnapping" and I will be in contempt of court. My entire network is in New Mexico and I would love to take my son with me. What should I do? Was told by my interviewer that I must present all of my family's birth certificates so that DES may "stamp" them. She said this was a law as of April 2006, however, the first time I applied, they did not say this, nor did they "stamp" our birth certificates. I'd like to know where I can find this law, and will I be turned down for food stamps and AHCCCS if I don't let DES stamp our birth certificates?
