We have had plumbing issues at our new apartment and have had maintenance in and out of the place however the toilet continues to overflow and the apartment manager has done nothing, they haven't even sent a plumber out yet and this has been happening for like 3 weeks now, do we have the right to hold our rent or put it on escrow or how would we be able to proceed? We have since had to use our clothing to stop the flooding from spreading any further in the apartment but it has flooded our hallway ,kitchen, and living room.

If a department head says you were not hired because they have closed the hiring process. However, there are still jobs posted on the website and the hiring department says there are still job openings. What can be done?

A nurse friend of mine thought she was signing up for a BSN program with excelsior college through The College Network(TNC)but was never contacted even though they have taken out monies every month, approx. $600, when she called TNC said she could not withdraw and must pay the full amount. My landlord gave us more than a 48 hours notice to do a building/maintenance inspection for either the 21st or the 22nd. They showed up on the 23rd and I was told that they already gave me notice and that because it took longer than expected it just rolled over to the next day. I received no notice that it was rolling over to the next day and she even said that she didn't have to give that kind of notice because I got one about them showing up on the 21st and 22nd

after being arrested about 10 years ago, the attorneys office denied the case from the arresting department due to lack of evidence. Charges were never filed with the state, however the arrest record still has to be researched with every background check. is there a way to have this removed from public record since there was never even a case or conviction?

I am renting to own my manufactured home from my landlord who is in turn paying off loan company. The contract she wrote and we both signed but was never notarized or witnessed states that I will rent the home" as is" meaning she is not responsible for any damages. The septic tank is broken and flooding badly enough that one side of the house has sunken into the ground. The clogging from the septic has caused leaks and clogs in water pipes causing mold in walls and insulation under house ruined. A lic. Plumber informed me that the septic tank got broken when she installed it previous to my renting. It is also illegally placed too close to house. Also, my mother paid my rent in February and when I asked my landlord if she received this money she stated no. I called my mother to confirm she did go there then I called landlord back and told her I knew she was lying about it and she admitted that she had in fact lied about how much rent I actually owe her. What can I do about all of this?

I have a collection on my credit report which belongs to my husband. When contacting the collection agency, they told me that this collection will stay on my report because I am married to the person which ows them money. The account was included in our bankruptcy in 2013 as an individual debt and not a joint debt. Am I responsible for my husbands debt? It was for electrical service my husband applied for himself.
