Forms and Letters: Family Law
questions & answers
Question: What if I have already taken the Parenting Class. What do I need to prepare to be excused from taking it again?
Answer:
If the court finds that a party has previously completed the educational program or one comparable the court may no longer require it to be taken again. However, the court may order a party to attend a program more than once. To verify it’s completion, in most cases the instructor of the program will have forms to verify attendance to be returned to the Clerk of Superior Court. In a few counties the instructor will forward the forms directly. The form must contain the court case number, attendance dates, name and contact information. Check with your instructor to confirm which method of verification they use.
