Question: I am legally divorced, I was a stay at home mom. I have just started working pt, but do not have enough money to get a lawyer. Will his income be counted as mine, even though I have no access to it. I'm wondering if I qualify for free legal assistance. We are not agreeing on custody.

You may want to contact the legal services agencies directly, as each provider may calculate income differently and has different eligibility criteria. The article on this site titled "Where to Find an Attorney for Specific Legal Advice" lists some legal aid numbers for various counties in Arizona. In addition, you can access information on custody in Arizona through the custody section of this website.  You can find more legal aid agencies listed in the legal assistance portion of this site. 

If you are intrested in representing yourself in court, some of the courts provide a self-service center where you can obtain forms and informational packets. Some counties provide forms and informational packets online; such as Maricopa County, Pima County and Coconino County and have lists of attorneys who can assist you with completing your forms.
