Name Change
questions & answers
Question: when you graduate medical school, do you have to legally change your name to DR.?
Answer: - Usually, when a person graduates from medical school they still keep their same name. The only difference is that now they have the title of Doctor (Dr.) that they can put in front of their name, but they don’t have to (example, Dr. John Smith). Usually, when a person graduates from medical school they plan on working as a Doctor and therefore, to show they are a qualified Doctor, they will most likely want to put “Dr.” in front of their name.
