Question: If a person is on 2 years unsupervised probation for two Class 6 undesignated felonies in AZ, is he able to move out of state and transfer his probation if his life is being threatened. Is it possible to complete his probation in another state.
Answer:
The following is provided for general information only. To find out how the law applies to a specific situation, contact an attorney directly. It may be possible to transfer probation to another state, if the new state will agree to the supervision. It is also possible the judge may grant an early termination of the unsupervised probation. Once the probation is terminated successfully, one must request that the felonies be reduced to Class 1 misdemeanors, and it must be granted by the judge. Otherwise they will stay Class 6 felonies.
