Question: The court granted my application to have my disorderly conduct(DV)charge from 5 years ago set aside. I'm trying to get my fingerprint clearance card and was denied due to the DV tag. Is there anyway to have the DV tag removed?
Answer: A set aside does not erase the fact that a charge was made but shows that the citizen has met their debt to society and releases the citizen from all penalties and disabilities resulting from the conviction. More information can be found here: http://www.maricopa.gov/opa/RightsFAQ.aspx#6
