Question: I need to take medicine 3 times while at work, can they tell me i can't go to my car to take it
Answer: A. Under the Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act (“ADAAA”) , employers must make reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities so the employer can perform the essential functions of the job. If a particular request is or is not a reasonable accommodation is determined by the employer after an analysis of the request, at the time of the request, after a discussion with the employee making the request. Under the law, in the event of multiple reasonable accommodations, the employers chooses which reasonable accommodation to provide. The ADAAA applies to private employers with 15 or more employees.
