Answer:
There are a few options for veterans who need assistance appealing their claim. One option is the Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program. This program provides veterans representation at the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Go to www.vetsprobono.org for more information. The National Veterans Legal Services Program provides free representation for military medical and physical disability evaluation boards, military discharge review agencies, VA regional offices, the Board of Veterans' Appeals, and the courts that review the decisions of these agencies. For more information go to http://www.nvlsp.org/. The VA has a pamphlet that guides veterans through the process if appealing a VA claim. This pamphlet can be found here: http://www.bva.va.gov/docs/Pamphlets/How-Do-I-Appeal-Booklet--508Compliance.pdf. You can also call the Legal Learn line to see if you qualify for the Military Assistance Project at (866) 637-5341. Those who qualify can receive a free consultation with an attorney.
