Landlord and Tenant Rights and Responsibilities
questions & answers
Question: Mtg of my apt complex wrote my contract for 5 month but noted it is a 6 mo contract. It was to be a 6 month contract not 5. what shall I do? Noted in the contract says I have to give a 30 day notice to vacate which would have been the end of Jan.
Answer: It is unclear from your question whether you are hoping to vacate or stay, but if the contract was intended by both parties to be a 6-month-long contract, then in principle that is what it should be. Without access to the details of the agreement, however, it is impossible to know. If you are unsure about what your rights and obligations are, you may wish to speak with your landlord.
