Food Stamps, Cash Assistance
questions & answers
Question: I was told that I would get emergency food stamps when do those get to my food card?? Thank you
Answer: If you qualify for emergency food stamps, the Department of Economic Security (DES) must give you food stamps within 7 days. If you do not receive the expedited food stamps within 7 days, you need to contact the DES, who handles the Nutrition Assistance program by calling 602-542-9935 in the Phoenix area or 1-800-352-8401 outside the Phoenix area. You may also visit your local DES office. Your local DES office location can be found by visiting this link
