Question: What can I do when my ex girlfriend who is pregnant isn't going to tell me when and where our baby is going to be born?
Answer: Arizona Revised Statute, section 25-803 gives you the right to file an action to establish paternity. You can file your action during your girlfriend's pregnancy or after the child is born A.R.S. 25-804. A lawyer can help you file the action and advise you of your rights. If you cannot afford a lawyer, go to the website for your local Superior Court and visit the self-help center. There, you can download the forms you need. You may also call a lawyer referral service . For a $40 fee, the lawyer referral service will set you up for a 1/2 hour conference with an experienced lawyer who can advise you on the best course of action.
